Dancehall artiste Shatta Wale has issued a public apology to MC Kojo Manuel following an unexpected scuffle on stage during his performance at the Tidal Rave festival.
The incident occurred shortly after Kojo Manuel introduced Shatta Wale. Instead of exiting the stage, the MC remained in an attempt to vibe and perform alongside the artiste.
Shatta Wale’s personal assistant, Abongo, quickly intervened and forcefully pushed Manuel off the stage—a move that drew mixed reactions from fans and industry players.
Addressing the incident on social media, Shatta Wale expressed regret over how things unfolded, assuring Kojo Manuel that there was no ill intent.
“Kojo Manuel, so sorryyy… but hey, Abonko is the nicest person ever. When it comes to my work, all my team members bow because he is my second in command. Sorry he pushed you, but next time just know that when an artiste and team step on stage, I beg you, ok.”
Shatta Wale also explained that there was a pre-arranged plan for his grand entry, coordinated with DJ Vyrusky, and any deviation disrupted the timing and discipline his team operates with.
He stressed that he did not support the actions of either party but hoped the incident would serve as a learning moment for everyone involved.
“This is how we can all learn and not fight ourselves to show the world. I don’t support what he did, neither you, but let’s learn from this peaceful letter I have written just to say a big sorry to you and your team.”
Kojo Manuel has yet to publicly respond to the apology.
