Communications Director of the Ghana Football Association (GFA), Henry Asante Twum, has assured that the Black Stars are approaching their upcoming friendlies against Japan and South Korea with full commitment.

The matches form part of Ghana’s preparations for the 2026 World Cup. The Black Stars will face Japan in the Kirin Cup on Friday, November 14, at Toyota Stadium, with kickoff scheduled for 10:20 a.m., before travelling to Seoul to take on South Korea on Tuesday, November 18.

Despite the absence of several key players, Asante Twum emphasized that the team remains fully focused.

“The games against Japan and South Korea will be tough, and we’re not taking them lightly at all,” he told Sporty FM. “We want to see players who are hungry and will fight for the Black Stars.”

All invited players are currently in camp and are scheduled for their final training session today ahead of Friday’s clash.
