Ghana forward Brandon Thomas-Asante has been nominated for the Championship Player of the Month award for October after an outstanding run of performances with Coventry City.

The 25-year-old has been a key figure in Coventry’s attack, contributing both goals and assists to their recent success. He began the month with a crucial assist against Millwall, underlining his impact beyond just scoring.

Thomas-Asante then netted twice against Sheffield Wednesday, displaying sharp finishing and clever movement to unlock a compact defence. He maintained his fine form with a goal against Blackburn Rovers, keeping Coventry’s frontline consistently dangerous.

His most impressive performance came against Portsmouth, where he scored another brace, combining pace, precision, and power to inspire a convincing victory for the Sky Blues. He wrapped up the month with a goal against Watford, further cementing his reputation as one of the Championship’s most in-form forwards.

Although he went scoreless in the clash with Wrexham, his total of seven goals and one assist in October underscores his importance to Coventry’s resurgence.

Thomas-Asante is also expected to feature in the Black Stars squad for the upcoming international friendlies against Japan and South Korea.
