Black Queens forward Chantelle Boye-Hlorkah says she is confident they will secure a positive result in their 2025 Women’s Africa Cup of Nations (WAFCON) qualifier against Egypt in Suez.
The team led by Kim Lars Björkegren are currently in Ismailia for the first leg of the crucial encounter, with the return fixture scheduled for next week at the Accra Sports Stadium.
Speaking ahead of the match, the Nottingham Forest striker expressed her delight at reuniting with her teammates and praised the team’s spirit in camp.
“So, it’s been two months since we had the WAFCON. Now we’re back together in preparation for the Egypt game. It’s been good to see everyone’s face again, get the group back together and have some good sessions,” she said.
She assured fans that the Black Queens are determined to build on their strong team chemistry from the last tournament.
“I think what the fans can expect from us is good energy, determination, and to see the togetherness that we brought together from the AFCON,” the Nottingham Forest attacker said.
Ghana will aim for a solid result in Egypt to boost their chances of qualification ahead of the decisive home leg in Accra.
