Declining public confidence in Mahama’s administration worrying – Minority

-

The Minority in Parliament has expressed concern over what it describes as declining public confidence in the Mahama administration.

According to the caucus, the drop in confidence is driven by the government’s slow delivery on key promises, including the removal of the COVID-19 levy, two consecutive utility tariff hikes, limited infrastructure development, and the lack of decisive action on youth unemployment.

Minority Leader Alexander Afenyo-Markin raised these concerns while addressing a Leaders’ Media Briefing in Parliament on Wednesday.

He also criticised the government’s delay in presenting its flagship programmes, including the 24-Hour Economy, the Big Push, and the National Apprenticeship Programme, for parliamentary scrutiny.

He urged the administration to act swiftly to restore public trust and deliver on its commitments to Ghanaians.
