The Fomena District Police Command has received a motorbike donation to aid its operations in combating crime across communities in the district.
The donation, made by the CEO of ARB, Daniel Amponsah, also included 100 bags of cement to support the construction of a sickbay at Dompoase Senior High School.
Speaking to Adom News correspondent Isaac K. Normanyo after the presentation, the District Police Commander, ASP Samson Wunyi Mumuni, expressed appreciation to ARB for their continued support to the command.
He disclosed that the police in the area face severe logistical challenges, as their only vehicle is currently out of service.
ASP Mumuni therefore appealed to the government, corporate institutions, and the public to assist the command with vehicles and additional motorbikes to enhance their patrol operations and fight against criminal activities in the district.
On his part, ARB CEO Daniel Amponsah explained that the motorbike was chosen for its efficiency and ability to access areas where vehicles cannot reach.
He added that his outfit plans to build a secure facility for weapon storage and continues to support other sectors in the district’s development.
