Fameye warns fans against smoking and womanising following introduction of new alter ego

Ghanaian musician Fameye has advised his followers to avoid smoking and womanising, shortly after introducing his new alter ego, Antonio.

In a post on his X page, the artiste wrote: “Smoking is a bad habit.”

His comment sparked reactions, as some fans have in the past speculated that he smokes. Fameye, however, has repeatedly clarified in interviews that he does not smoke, although he has no problem with those who choose to.

In a follow-up post, he added: “Bro, if you are doing too many girls, stop ok? It’s a bad habit. Bye.”

It is unclear whether the musician is deliberately preaching against these lifestyle choices or hinting at a new creative direction under Antonio, the character he recently announced would lead his next wave of music.

According to Fameye, Antonio represents a deeper, more spiritual force that takes over from his earlier alter ego, Peter.

Fameye, born Peter Famiyeh Bozah, is best known for songs such as Nothing I Get, Praise, Mati, and Long Life.

He has often used his music and public platforms to comment on morality, responsibility, and personal discipline, and Antonio appears to be an extension of this artistic and philosophical journey.
