
A tragic stabbing incident at Kwahu Tafo in the Eastern Region has left a family devastated following the death of 17-year-old Kwasi Awuah Gorman, a final-year student of St. Joseph Technical Institute.
According to reports, Kwasi was allegedly stabbed to death by his friend, identified only as Stephen and popularly known as Sugar, during a confrontation believed to have been sparked by a money-related dispute.
Eyewitnesses say the altercation between the two, who were known to be close friends, turned violent and ended in Kwasi’s untimely death.
Speaking to Adom News’ Eastern Region correspondent, Akwasi Dwamena, the deceased’s brother, Ebenezer Gorman, said the family is heartbroken and is demanding justice for their loved one.
Kwasi’s sister, Ataa Gorman, also expressed the family’s shock, saying both boys had been living together peacefully until the tragic incident.
The body of Kwasi Awuah Gorman has since been deposited at the morgue, while the suspect, Stephen, is in police custody assisting with investigations.
The family is calling on the Ghana Police Service to expedite the investigation and ensure swift and fair justice is served.
