Operations at the Hohoe Municipal office of the National Disaster Management Organisation (NADMO) have come to a standstill after the Constituency Organiser of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), Wodey Samuel, locked up the premises in protest over a recent appointment.

Mr. Wodey, who was reportedly considered for the role of Municipal NADMO Director, took the action after the position was given to his deputy, Raphael Kumaga. Describing the decision as an “injustice,” he is demanding that the appointment be reversed before the office can resume operations.

However, a former NDC executive in the Hohoe Constituency told Citi News that Mr. Wodey had earlier declined the NADMO position, opting instead to pursue a role at the Bank of Ghana office in Hohoe.

After failing to secure the Bank of Ghana job, he allegedly attempted to reclaim the NADMO role, which had already been assigned to Mr. Kumaga.

Municipal authorities are yet to officially comment on the matter. Meanwhile, the office closure has raised concerns among residents and party members, who are calling for urgent intervention to restore normalcy and resume essential disaster management services.
