Nkawkaw: Clash at ‘weed base’ claims two lives

Two people have lost their lives following a violent altercation at Bobo Shanti, a well-known weed base in Nkawkaw.

The first victim, identified as Baba Salau, believed to be in his thirties, was allegedly stabbed to death by a pub attendant during a fight over a cigarette.

In a tragic turn of events, a local meat seller, renowned for his chinchinga business and who lost his son to stabbing two years ago, reportedly collapsed and died upon hearing the news of this latest incident.

Residents have called for the demolition of Bobo Shanti, citing its frequent violent incidents and loss of lives. Some angry individuals have already vandalized parts of the pub in protest.

Baba Salau’s body has been taken to the Nkawkaw Holy Family Mortuary, while police continue their search for the suspect, who remains at large.
