Ghanaian carbon project developer, Eco-Bliss Climate, has secured official backing from both the Government of Ghana and the Republic of Singapore to launch a landmark carbon credit initiative in the Upper West Region.
The project, covering 91,000 hectares, aims to cut and remove an estimated 3.6 million tonnes of carbon dioxide (CO₂e) by 2030 through improved agricultural land management practices.
It has received a Letter of Intent from Ghana’s Environmental Protection Agency and Ministry of Environment, and a Letter of Support from Singapore’s National Environment Agency.
“This is not only a recognition of Eco-Bliss’s technical and environmental credibility but also a call to action for partners who share our vision for a climate-resilient, low-carbon future,” said Awuni Laud Anthony, CEO of Eco-Bliss Climate.
The initiative will support more than 45,000 smallholder farmers by providing training, promoting sustainable farming methods, and offering access to carbon finance.
It also contributes to Ghana’s National Climate Change Policy and aligns with Singapore’s International Carbon Credit framework.
Eco-Bliss will now proceed to develop a Project Design Document for independent validation under the Verified Carbon Standard (VCS).
