I haven’t been served any lawsuit – Ntim Fordjour responds to Dafeamekpor

The Member of Parliament for Assin South, Rev John Ntim Fordjour, has refuted claims that he has been served with a lawsuit reportedly filed by his fellow legislator, Rockson-Nelson Dafeamekpor, MP for South Dayi.

In a statement issued on Thursday, May 16, 2025, Rev Ntim Fordjour expressed surprise over media reports suggesting legal action had been taken against him.

He emphasized that no official court documents had been delivered to him.

“I have taken notice of media publications regarding an alleged suit filed by the Honourable Member of Parliament for South Dayi, Mr Rockson-Nelson Dafeamekpor,” he noted. “However, I wish to clarify that I have not been served with any such legal documents.”

Rev Ntim Fordjour, who also serves as the Ranking Member on Parliament’s Defence and Interior Committee, described the alleged lawsuit as unfounded and politically distracting.

“I am not perturbed by this apparent legal stunt. I will await the proper service of the alleged suit and respond accordingly to demonstrate its lack of merit,” he said.

His remarks come amid growing media speculation that Mr Dafeamekpor has initiated legal proceedings against him, although details of the alleged case are yet to be disclosed.
