Agradaa breaks silence on Sammy Gyamfi’s dollar gift [Watch]

Televangelist Patricia Asiedua, popularly known as Nana Agradaa, has come to the defense of the Chief Executive Officer of the Ghana Gold Board (GoldBoard), Sammy Gyamfi, amid backlash over his dollar gift to her.

Agradaa has urged members of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) to focus on receiving blessings rather than criticizing the party’s National Communications Officer.

Addressing the controversy, the founder of Heaven Way Champion International Ministry dismissed the criticisms as unnecessary, revealing that she only received $800 after requesting money for fuel.

“How much is $800? NDC supporters shouldn’t feel aggrieved because of this. The Bible says you should not covet your neighbour’s blessings; always tap into somebody’s blessings,” she said.

“If you’re an NDC supporter, don’t be worried—Sammy Gyamfi gave me $800, and it wasn’t any significant amount.”

Sammy Gyamfi has come under fire following the launch of President John Mahama’s Code of Conduct for public appointees, which emphasizes integrity and accountability.

Although Mr. Gyamfi has since apologized, stating the gesture was an act of personal generosity, many have called for disciplinary action.

Meanwhile, Chief of Staff Julius Debrah has summoned Mr. Gyamfi to explain the circumstances surrounding the gift.
