Ghana captain, Andre Ayew has been nominated for the English Championship Player for the month of December award. 

The 30-year-old has been scintillating form last month, scoring 5 goals in 6 games to propel Steve Cooper’s side to the playoffs spot.

However, the deputy skipper for Swansea City will face competition from Leeds defender Luke Ayling, West Brom keeper Sam Johnstone, Sheffield Wednesday defender Tom Lees, Cardiff midfielder Lee Tomlin and Millwall’s Jed Wallace for the award.

The former West Ham and Olympique Marseille attacker has scored 11 goals in all competition for the Swans this season.

Andre featured for the Swans in their FA Cup heavy defeat at Queens Park Rangers over the weekend.

However, he will be hoping to continue his brilliant form against Cardiff City on Sunday in the English Championship.
