Karbo was mentioned by the President of the Ghana Football Association, Kwesi Nyantakyi, who is under investigations by the Criminal Investigations Department for defrauding by false pretense.

The police are however treating Karbo as a person of interest and not a suspect, Joy News Parker Wilson reported.

The investigations began when the President reported the alleged conduct of Nyantakyi to the police after viewing the video put together by Anas.
