Police at Nalerigu in the North East regional capital have arrested three persons in connection with the killing of a 35-year-old palace secretary, Aremeyaw Nasigri.

The three are family members of the prime suspects of the murder and were declared wanted by the Police in the early stages of their investigations.

They were arrested at Nalerigu bus station after some residents raised alarm while they were trying to escape to Kumasi in a bus.

The police have confirmed the arrest but declined to give details, saying it would derail the ongoing investigations.

The development comes after the family in a Joy News interview accused the police of deliberate in-actions and demanded for justice.

Mr Nasigri on January 1 was attacked by a lone gunman who fired multiple shots at him while he was drinking in a local bar at Gbintri in the East Mampruisi municipality.
