Former Hearts of Oak head coach Didi Dramani has praised his players and technical team for their commitment and resilience after guiding the club to a third-place finish in the 2025/26 Ghana Premier League season.
The Phobians endured a challenging start to the campaign, suffering a disappointing early exit from the MTN FA Cup at the hands of lower-tier side True Life FC.
Despite the setback, Hearts gradually improved as the season progressed, although inconsistent results at home prevented them from mounting a stronger title challenge.
Speaking on Asempa FM, Dramani described the club’s final league position as a significant achievement, especially considering the difficulties encountered throughout the season.
“Considering the challenges we faced and where we started, our third-place finish in the Ghana Premier League was a job by the team,” Dramani said.
The experienced coach noted that expectations were high at the beginning of the campaign but credited the squad’s determination and togetherness for helping the club secure a place among the league’s top three teams.
According to Dramani, the players remained committed to the team’s philosophy and objectives despite facing several obstacles along the way, a factor he believes was crucial to their eventual success.
He also reserved special praise for the club’s technical and backroom staff, insisting that the achievement was the result of a united effort from everyone involved rather than the contribution of a few individuals.
Dramani’s comments come after a season that tested Hearts of Oak on several fronts but ultimately ended with a respectable league finish, providing a platform for the club to build on ahead of the next campaign.
