Youth organisers and delegates under 40 from the Eastern, Greater Accra, Ashanti, Central and Volta regions have mobilised to pick nomination forms in support of Clement Opoku Gyamfi, popularly known as Kwame Poku CiD, as an aspiring National Youth Organiser of the New Patriotic Party (NPP).

The coordinated exercise is being seen as a show of grassroots support for Mr Gyamfi’s candidacy, highlighting his growing reach within the party’s youth structures.

The mobilisation across five regions demonstrates the candidate’s ability to rally young party members at both constituency and regional levels, while reflecting growing calls for youth participation and generational renewal within the party.

A youth organiser from Greater Accra who participated in the exercise said the enthusiasm recorded across the regions reflected strong grassroots support for fresh leadership.

“The energy we’re seeing across these regions reflects genuine grassroots enthusiasm for bringing fresh perspectives and vigorous leadership to the youth directorate,” the organiser said.

Kwame Poku CiD has been active within the NPP’s youth organisation over the years, particularly in party strategy and youth mobilisation.

His supporters say his experience in constituency-level organisation and ability to build networks across regions make him a strong contender for the national youth leadership position.

The nomination exercise marks the beginning of the campaign process, with Mr Gyamfi’s campaign expected to intensify efforts to secure support from youth delegates across the country ahead of the party’s internal elections.
