Former president John Dramani Mahama has taken a swipe at the ruling New Patriotic Party (NPP), accusing them of lying their way to power.
According to him, they have been exposed by the standard of living of Ghanaians ever since coming to power in 2016.
In a Facebook post, the former president said: “You can engage in, and tell all the lies to win political power, when you are in government the reality of peoples’ lives will expose you…” he said.
This follows a statement made by President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo that the economy of Ghana is going through some trying times.
Nana Addo has, however, dismissed concerns that these difficulties amount to a crisis, assuring his audience that the government is on top of the situation.
But it’s obvious the ex-president, John Mahama believes otherwise.
