
The Paramount Chief of the Yoo Traditional Area in the Northern Region, Yoo Naa Andani Yakubu Abdulai, has paid a courtesy call on the Acting Chief Executive of the National Petroleum Authority (NPA), Mr Godwin Kudzo Tameklo (Esq.).
The visit, which took place on Wednesday, was intended to congratulate Mr Tameklo on his appointment and acknowledge his efforts in steering Ghana’s downstream petroleum sector in recent months.
In his remarks, Yoo Naa Andani Yakubu Abdulai commended President John Dramani Mahama for what he described as a timely and thoughtful appointment.
He noted that Mr Tameklo had demonstrated the leadership and vision needed to guide the NPA at a critical juncture in the nation’s energy industry.
The Paramount Chief also praised the Authority’s recent strides in maintaining stability and ensuring transparency within the petroleum distribution chain. He emphasized that strong leadership in such a strategic sector is essential for both economic growth and national cohesion.
Responding, Mr Tameklo expressed gratitude to Yoo Naa Andani Yakubu Abdulai for the visit and words of encouragement.
He acknowledged the Chief’s longstanding contributions to peace and development in the Northern Region and assured that under his stewardship, the NPA would continue to pursue policies that promote stability and serve the national interest.
