Actress and media personality Xandy Kamel has expressed frustration after discovering that Fast TV aired her newly released film without her permission.
Kamel revealed that she had uploaded the movie to her personal YouTube channel only two days prior, yet the local TV station began broadcasting it without consulting or compensating her.
The actress, who personally financed the project, said she felt deeply disrespected by the action, especially considering the time, money, and effort she invested.
Fighting back tears, Kamel took to social media to express her frustration and called on the National Film Authority to intervene and hold those responsible accountable.
She urged stronger protections for local filmmakers who continue to face exploitation despite their contributions to the industry.
In response, Kamel’s legal team served official notice to the station, though she claims the CEO refused to accept the letter.
Meanwhile, the Film Authority has reached out and is working to resolve the issue amicably.
