As part of an initiative aimed at uplifting the lives of vulnerable children, the Kete-Krachi cluster of World Vision has made a significant donation of bicycles, clothing, school bags, pens, and other valuable items to children in the Krachi West Municipality of the Oti Region.
This generous act, led by Cluster Manager Augustine Nyaaba, reflects the organization’s ongoing commitment to support underprivileged communities and enhance educational opportunities for children in the area.
At the event, Augustine Nyaaba emphasized the importance of education and mobility in a child’s development, stating that every child deserves the opportunity to learn and grow in a supportive environment.
He noted that by providing these essential items, they are not only facilitating education but also encouraging children to pursue their dreams.
The cluster manager explained that the bicycles, in particular, are expected to significantly impact the lives of many children who often walk long distances to school.
With improved access to education, these children can attend classes more regularly, participate in extracurricular activities, and engage with their peers, fostering a sense of community and belonging.
In addition to the bicycles, the clothing, school bags, and pens will help alleviate some financial burdens faced by families in the Krachi cluster.
He pointed out that many parents struggle to provide basic necessities for their children, and this support from World Vision will ensure that children have the resources they need to succeed academically.
Receiving the items on behalf of the community for distribution, the Municipal Chief Executive (MCE) for Krachi West, Prosper Addo, expressed gratitude to World Vision for their ongoing commitment.
He highlighted the collaboration between government and non-governmental organizations like World Vision.
The MCE noted that the bicycles will not only facilitate easier access for children living in remote areas but also promote physical activity and independence.
He added that the clothing, school bags, and other supplies will provide much-needed support as children embark on their educational journeys.
The MCE urged other stakeholders to collaborate to ensure that every child has access to education and the resources they need to succeed.
