A 29-year-old insurance agent, Esther Amoah, lost her life on Saturday after a truck loaded with cement ran over her on the Apowa–Agona Nkwanta Highway in the Western Region.
According to a report by Crime Check TV, Esther was returning home after visiting her younger brother at St. Mary’s Boys Senior High School, where she had gone to deliver food.
Eyewitnesses said she attempted to cross the road but became confused when two vehicles approached from opposite directions.
In that moment of hesitation, a Benz truck with registration number AS 630 P struck and ran over her, killing her on the spot.

Witnesses said she was still holding the food flask she had taken to her brother when the accident occurred.
Police have since arrested the driver of the truck, who is assisting with investigations.
The incident has renewed calls for heightened caution on major roads as the festive season approaches.
