A woman, believed to be in her 30s, has been discovered dead under unusual circumstances on her farm at Behenase in the Bekwai Municipality of the Ashanti Region.
According to residents, the deceased left for her farm on Sunday, 10 August 2025, but never returned home.
After repeated attempts to reach her failed, relatives and neighbours organised a search party.
Her body was eventually found lying face-up on the farm. Witnesses said she was foaming at the mouth and nose, with blood seeping from her nostrils. A cutlass, believed to have been the tool she was working with, was found lying across her body.
The cause of death has not yet been established, but police have launched a full-scale investigation into the incident.
Shaken by the discovery, residents have called for increased security measures in the community to help protect farmers and other locals.
