The witchcraft that has been tormenting the opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC) which led to its ‘disgraceful’ defeat and has ensured peace never reigned even after the December 2016 polls has finally been fished out, a party official has disclosed.
“We have finally seen that the witchcraft was from within. We had an unknown sickness and witchcraft tormenting us as a family and haunting us and we could not grow. There is now the need for us to uproot the bigger pot of the identified witchcraft to enable us to grow so I am asking the everyone who has the party at heart to rise up to this challenge”, Mr Yamoah Ponkoh, Former Ejisu-Juaben Municipal Chief Executive challenged party supporters .
A vociferous Yamoah Ponkoh said “now that Dr Valerie Sawyerr has exposed the wizard, it is time we uproot the pot of witchcraft in the party. It has tormented us for far too long but the time is rife now. We cannot tolerate it any longer.” He said on Okay Fm last Thursday Morning.
According to him, members of the NDC must immediately stand up against internal machinations against the progress of the party if indeed they are yearning to see it recapture power in 2020 explaining that Dr Valerie Sawyerr has paved the way.
He reiterated that former President Rawlings cannot absolve himself from the defeat of the party because it was his allegations against officials of the party that caused its defeat.
“The Rawlings of President was a campaign tool used by the NPP to win power. He accused us of being corrupt and that was strong message and Sammy Awuku and Wontumi used to campaign vigorously to win power”, he explained.

  1. You are confused. At the manifesto launch of the NDC, President Mahama himself seeing the massive crowd remarked that one man can’t be the alpha & the omega. I wasnt surprised he could insinuate like that because he has been insinuating here and there. Even professor Mills was also casting insinuations disingenuously when Rawlings was present. NPP won because they went out of their way to make outrageous but curious promises.

  2. If you( NDC) want to come to power, there is setting element within de party which need to be sacked.the likes of Asiedu Nketia, Koku Anyidoho etc…and stop attacking papa J and Amidu

  3. Officials like Asiedu Nketiah, Koku Anyidoho, Kofi Adams, Ofosu Kwaakye and the rest were the root cause of your disgraceful defeat. They are the wizards tormenting and overindulging NDC.
    Clear them off and reorganize or stay in opposition forever.

  4. Comment:there is no witchcraft but ur communicators like too propaganda with the likes of Omane Boamah, and Kwaku Boahen who i knw him very well at Armed forces shs was still payin salary as a teacher who have stop teaching and now drives in big cars and maison,corrupt NDC

  5. NDC lost 2016 because they were corrupt, demonstrated bad leadership, create loot and share, coupled with a bad economy. Every Ghanaian saw and felt the bad leadership by the run down economy and through the the media where series of corruption we’re reported almost daily. Rawlings and Amidu only re-echoed what the masses felt. They had no hand in your defeat. To point fingers at your defeat, look no further than the leadership you provided Ghanaians with. Also, some of your leaders took Ghanaians for granted and insulted our intelligence. If you seriously address these issues, it may help you in future but certainly not 2020 because Ghanaians still habour those bad feelings against the NDC.
