The Member of Parliament for Weija-Gbawe, Jerry Ahmed Shaib, has openly expressed his support for Kofi Adams to thrive as the new Minister for Sports and Recreation.
Kofi Adams, who replaced Mustapha Ussif—the former Sports Minister under the New Patriotic Party (NPP) government—has already garnered praise for his approach and engagement with various sporting federations.
In an interview, Ahmed, who also serves as the President of the Ghana Weightlifting Federation, commended Adams’ early efforts and affirmed his willingness to back his success regardless of political party affiliations.
“From how Kofi Adams has started as the Sports Minister, if he can go on the same path, then he will succeed, and for me, no matter my political affiliation, I will support him to succeed,” he told Asempa FM’s Sports Nite show.
He also highlighted Adams’ experience and proven capability, reiterating his commitment to supporting him in his leadership.
“He has experience, and he has proven that he is capable, and I am ready to support him to succeed,” he added.
