The General Manager of Aduana FC, Takyi Arhin, has spoken out about the chaos that overshadowed their Ghana Premier League clash against Dreams FC over the weekend.
The āOgya Boysā travelled to the Tuba AstroTurf to face the āStill Believeā side in their Matchday 24 fixture, which was disrupted following an alleged attack on Aduana FC officials by some home supporters.
Speaking on Ultimate Sports Show, Arhin said several pre-match arrangements agreed upon before the game were not honoured.
“Before the game, we agreed on several things, but when we went into the match, we realised that some of them were not done,” he stated.
“At the VIP section, Dreams FC brought thugs to heckle our team officials,” he added.
Arhin also alleged that security arrangements fell short of what had been agreed. “We agreed on 40 policemen, but there were only 20 present. There was no national ambulance, which was a concern for us. What I want to stress is that Dreams FC and their management must be careful,” he said.
He urged the management of Dreams FC to take the matter seriously, noting the clubās precarious position in the league.
“We have seen that they have been struggling, but they always find a way to survive. What happened was unacceptable, and when I meet Kurt Okraku, Iāll urge him to caution his management team. We will report to the Ghana Football Association (GFA) that our CEO, Atta Poku, was threatened with stabbing during the game,” Arhin added.
On the pitch, Dreams FC secured a narrow 1ā0 victory over Aduana FC.
Meanwhile, Aduana FC have also been charged by the GFA Disciplinary Committee after their supporters allegedly threw bottles onto the pitch during the encounter.
The two-time league champions will be hoping to bounce back when they host Techiman Eleven Wonders in their Matchday 25 fixture this weekend.
