Asante Kotoko head coach Abdul Karim Zito has underlined the importance of winning home fixtures as the Porcupine Warriors chase the 2025/26 Ghana Premier League title.
Kotoko currently sit third on the league table with 27 points from 15 matches.
Following their 2-0 victory over Eleven Wonders on Wednesday at the University of Ghana Stadium, Zito expressed satisfaction with the result but emphasized the need for consistency at home.
“It’s not beyond our ability to beat Eleven Wonders. My happiness lies in the step we have made in the chase for the league title, so I’m very happy. If we can win today 2-0, it’s a plus for us,” Zito said.
“We need to win, especially our home matches. If we want to win the league, then definitely we have to win our home matches,” he added.
Kotoko will aim to maintain their strong home form when they face Bechem United at the Baba Yara Stadium on Sunday in Matchday 16.
