Asante Kotoko head coach Karim Zito has stressed the importance of securing victory against Heart of Lions in their Ghana Premier League clash on Sunday to keep the club’s title ambitions on track.
The Porcupine Warriors, fresh from their CAF Confederation Cup campaign, now shift focus to domestic duties as they welcome the league leaders to the Baba Yara Stadium on Matchday 4, scheduled for October 5.
Speaking ahead of the fixture, Zito acknowledged the threat posed by Lions but maintained that Kotoko must rise to the occasion if they are to achieve their ultimate target.
“Playing them, whether home or away, it won’t be easy. But we have set our target to win the league, and they are one of the teams we must overcome,” Zito told the club’s media.
“At all costs, we should do our best to win this game,” he added.
Kick-off is set for 15:00 GMT at the Baba Yara Stadium.
