Asante Kotoko coach Karim Zito has urged his players to step up and deliver a convincing performance when they face Bibiani GoldStars in an outstanding Ghana Premier League fixture on Wednesday.
The Porcupine Warriors will welcome the defending league champions to the Baba Yara Stadium for the midweek clash.
Kotoko dropped valuable points at home last weekend after being held to a draw by Heart of Lions in their Matchday 4 encounter, a result that left Zito visibly frustrated.
Speaking to the club’s media team ahead of the GoldStars encounter, Zito admitted his disappointment over the result and reminded his players of their commitment to turning the Baba Yara Stadium into a fortress.
“Our plan was to make sure any team that comes to the Baba Yara Stadium go home without a point,” Zito told the club’s media.
“Asante Kotoko drawing against Heart of Lions means there will be no excuse on Wednesday, we have to beat Bibiani Goldstars,” he added.
Kick-off for the highly anticipated fixture is scheduled for 19:00 GMT.
