Kantamanto Market Coordinator Kakari Mensah has dismissed claims of leadership confusion, emphasizing that the market operates under clear rules and systems to maintain discipline and order.
Speaking on Adom FM’s Dwaso Nsem during a visit to the market, Mensah clarified that recognised leaders manage the affairs of traders, countering suggestions that some executives had secretly elected a new chairman.
“The Kantamanto Market has leaders, and we have rules and regulations governing us. It is not true that some executives have colluded to elect a chairman. The market leaders are in charge of traders’ affairs,” he stated.
He added that a disciplinary committee exists to address misconduct, ensuring disputes are resolved peacefully.
“If you flout the law, there is a disciplinary committee to handle the issue. We don’t fight in this market, and we don’t invoke curses,” Mensah stressed.
He reassured traders and the public that the market leadership remains intact and committed to fostering a peaceful and well-regulated business environment.
