The Volta Regional Minister, James Gunu, has commended MASLOC following a courtesy call by its CEO, Abigail Yaa Mensah, and her team during a familiarisation tour of the region.
The visit focused on educating market women on how to access MASLOC loans and the importance of timely repayment to sustain the scheme.

Mr. Gunu praised the initiative, describing it as a boost to the 24-hour economy policy, and noted that ongoing efforts to sanitise MASLOC would restore public confidence and enhance service delivery.
He assured the team of the Volta Regional Coordinating Council’s (VRCC) support and recalled his time as DCE for Akatsi North, where he used part of the Assembly’s internally generated funds (IGF) to provide loans to market women, complementing government interventions.
