VIP Transport adjusts departure times over Bole curfew

The VIP Bus Transport Union in the Upper West Region has announced new evening departure times for trips to Kumasi and Accra, following the curfew imposed on Bole Township and its environs.

Effective Tuesday, September 2, 2025, passengers on the Wa–Kumasi and Wa–Accra routes must report by 3:30 p.m., with buses departing strictly at 4:00 p.m.

The union stressed there will be no delays, citing security operations along the Sawla–Bole stretch. Passengers have been advised to purchase tickets in advance and arrive on time, as buses will not wait for latecomers.

“This adjustment is necessary due to security operations along the route, especially around the Sawla–Bole area. Please buy your tickets in advance and arrive on time, as the bus will not wait for latecomers,” the union noted.

The VIP Bus Transport Union assured passengers that the changes are meant to safeguard travelers, adding that customer safety remains its top priority.

PUBLIC ANNOUNCEMENT

VIP BUS TRANSPORT UNION – UPPER WEST REGION

The VIP Bus Transport Union wishes to inform all cherished customers and passengers of an important change in reporting and departure times for evening trips to Kumasi and Accra.

Following the curfew imposed on Bole Township and its environs (6:00 PM – 6:00 AM) by the Ministry of Interior, all passengers traveling on the Wa–Kumasi and Wa–Accra routes must take note of the new schedule:

✅ Reporting Time: 3:30 PM sharp
✅ Departure Time: 4:00 PM exactly
✅ Effective Date: Tuesday, 2nd September 2025
✅ No delays! No “African time”!

This adjustment is necessary due to security operations along the route, especially around the Sawla–Bole area.
