Popular Adom TV host, Omanhene Kwabena Asante has questioned the competence of some of the ministers, chief executives, directors and other institutional heads in the Akufo-Addo-led administration.
Omanhehe says he was incensed by the fact that all Ghanaians wake up to, every day, are corruption scandals.
According to him, most of these Land Cruisers-driving ministers are detached from reality and as such, have grossly disappointed the appointing authority, the president.
He has therefore suggested to President Akufo-Addo to immediately embark on a reshuffle since it wasn’t too late to correct the wrongs and deliver on his promise Ghanaians.
He needs to reshuffle some Ministers, Chief Executives, Directors because all they do is to sit in Accra, drive Land Cruisers and do 419 business. They are betraying the country too much, there has been a lot happening under Nana Addo’s watch that needs swift action, President Nana Akufo-Addo might be incorruptible but the way things are going under his watch, the President needs to reshuffle his Ministers, Omanhene told Asempa FM’s Ekosii Sen host, Osei Bonsu in a video which has since gone viral.
If these are the men he promised us prior to the 2016 general election then I am right to say he might have left some of the men behind, it is not proper, he added.
The ‘Badwam’ host said what baffled him most about the government was that Nana Akufo-Addo promised to protect the public purse but has failed to do so since becoming President.
One thing that breaks my heart most in all these is that the President promised us, prior to the 2016 election, was to protect the public coffers, making sure procurement matters are transparent and devoid of corruption but under his watch matters have worsened with impunity because there is no punishment for those who breach the laws, Omanhene added.
