The chief of the Kwabenya Traditional Council, Nii Abey Okonfrah III has promised to gift President Akufo-Addo acres of land for the ‘One district one factory’ project in his area.
The move according to the chief is to help create jobs for the youth in the area.
Nii Abey Okonfrah III made the pledged after he was installed as the new Chief of Kwabenya Traditional Council Saturday, August 26, 2017.
He lauded government for the initiative and hoped the challenges facing the community including unemployment will be solve when a factory is established at Kwabenya.
“The Kwabenya Traditional Council is ready to give a vast land for the 1 district 1 factory project that President Akufo-Addo promised in his 2016 campaign. We are looking forward to benefit from it…” he confirmed.
Nii Abey Okonfrah III also promised to work with his traditional leaders as a new chief to develop the community.
“I’m looking forward to change the bad perception people have about Kwabenya” he stressed.
