President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo lacks the political will to fight corruption, a member of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) has said.
According to the Western Regional Organiser of the NDC, Japheth Baidoo, the President cannot fight corrupt that would occur his administration because of his government is made up of family, friends and cronies who contributed to his campaign.
“Nana Addo lacks the political will to prosecute corrupt Government officials because his government is made up of family and friends who contributed to his campaign and how do you expect him to prosecute the very people who contributed to his campaign…?, he quizzed.
The high numbers of family and friends in the administration, Japheth said, would tie the hands of the President making it difficult for him to deal with acts of corruption that would involve any of the family members.

  1. Well I will want to make it known to Japhet that in the running of the affairs of a nation, competence combined with qualification and experience are most welcomed. So if a relative or friend possess these qualities, what prevents the president from choosing them? Furthermore, levelheaded friends and relatives are more sympathetic and dependable in many cases.
