A Plus has taken a dig at VGMA organisers, demanding answers for their reason for neglecting popular Dancehall act Shatta Wale.

He actually posed a bizarre question yet worth answering to organizers of the Vodafone Ghana Music Awards (VGMA).

The outspoken musician cum comedian believes organising Ghana’s biggest music awards without Shatta is a big joke.

“Music awards without Charles Nii Armah Mensah aka Shatta Wale, is that one too an awards night?” he asked.

In a passionate narrative he posted on his Facebook, he reminded the (VGMA) organizers how relevant Shatta Wale in his estimation is synonymous to the entire Ghanaian music industry.

“Let me tell you the story of Charles Nii Armah Mensah aka Shatta Wale and I in 1999; we lived in the same area in Lartebiokorshie Accra…

“I remember very well when in 2005, Shatta who was known then as Bandana and I went to Nsawam for a show and the organisers [bolted after the show]. We didn’t have money to come back to Accra,” he revealed.

According to A Plus, Shatta Wale has not only risen through the ranks, but has achieved to the point that he is celebrated beyond Ghana and Africa; an understanding which has motivated him to question VGMA organisers’ decision to snub the talented Shatta during their grand extravaganza.

Per A Plus’ argument, the show loses its luster in the absence of the popular dancehall act.
