A Dodge Journey salon car (DV 9496 X) went up in flames at Shiashie early Friday morning, December 12, 2025, with the incident reported to the Ghana National Fire Service (GNFS) at 8:17 a.m.
A crew from the Legon Fire Station, led by ADO I Adjei, responded promptly despite heavy traffic and reached the scene at 8:33 a.m. The team successfully extinguished the fire by 8:47 a.m.
Despite the swift response, the vehicle was completely destroyed beyond repair.
The GNFS is urging motorists to equip their vehicles with functional portable fire extinguishers to help minimize damage and prevent total losses in similar incidents.
