Vanessa Selase Azoumaro, a graduate of the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST), has officially received her certificate from Guinness World Records after setting a new world record in gaming.
Vanessa achieved the milestone by playing the video game Ghost of Tsushima continuously for 56 hours and 30 minutes during an endurance gaming session held in Kumasi on July 29, 2024.

Her feat now stands as the longest video game marathon in the Ghost of Tsushima series, formally confirmed by Guinness World Records and placing Ghana on the global gaming map.

Speaking about her journey, Vanessa said she hopes to become a positive ambassador for Ghanaian gamers while encouraging more women to take an interest in gaming and digital creativity.

Beyond the Guinness World Records recognition, Vanessa has also been acknowledged locally. She was honoured at the Creators Awards Ghana 2024, where she won the Sports and Gaming Creator of the Year award.
Her achievement continues to spark conversations around gaming as a legitimate creative and competitive field, particularly inspiring young women looking to break barriers in the digital space.
