Ghana coach Otto Addo is confident that his team will secure victory in the 2025 Unity Cup as they prepare to face Trinidad & Tobago in the third-place playoff today at the Gtech Community Stadium.
The Black Stars, four-time African champions, are looking to bounce back after a narrow 2-1 loss to rivals Nigeria on Wednesday night.
Ahead of the match, the 49-year-old coach remained optimistic about his squad’s potential, despite missing some key players.
“We showed already a good reaction [against Nigeria], surely we would want to continue in the second half,” the former Borussia Dortmund talent coach said.
“We really want to finish this tournament with a win, and I think we have the quality for that and we just have to show that on the pitch from the beginning and not just from the second half,” he added.
The third-place game is set to kick off at 11:30 GMT.
In the final later today, Nigeria will take on Jamaica at 16:30 GMT at the same stadium.
