Ghana’s Black Maidens will continue their quest for a place at the FIFA U-17 Women’s World Cup when they take on Liberia in the second round of the qualifiers.

The first leg is scheduled for Saturday, May 23, at the Accra Sports Stadium, with kick-off set for 3:30 PM.

The return fixture will take place a week later on May 30 at the Samuel Kanyon Doe Sports Complex in Paynesville, Liberia, starting at 4:00 PM.

Should the Black Maidens win the tie, they will play the winner of the game between Senegal and Cameroon in the third round of the qualifiers.

The Maidens will be looking to build a strong advantage at home before travelling for the decisive away leg.

The team head into the tie buoyed by an impressive 8–0 win over Togo in the opening round and are determined to return to the global stage after missing out on the 2022 edition.

Preparations are already underway at the GFA Technical Centre in Prampram as the squad sharpens its readiness for the crucial two-legged encounter.
