Two people have died following a head-on collision involving a private car and a minibus at Tuobodom along the Kintampo Highway in the Bono East Region.
The crash occurred when an Opel Astra with registration number GW-3932-S collided with a minibus with registration number GT-4595-11.
Personnel from the Ghana National Fire Service at the Techiman Fire Station responded to the incident after receiving a distress call and rushed to the scene to assist in rescue efforts.
Several injured victims were pulled from the wreckage and handed over to the ambulance service for transportation to the Holy Family Hospital for medical treatment.
Firefighters also retrieved two bodies from the mangled vehicles and handed them over to the police.
Authorities say investigations are ongoing to determine the exact cause of the accident.
