Two people have died, while three others sustained varying degrees of injuries in a road accident on the Juaboso–Bonsu Nkwanta Road in the Juaboso District of the Western North Region.
The accident, which occurred on Saturday evening, involved two vehicles that reportedly collided head-on after one of them veered off its lane.
Eyewitnesses described the impact as severe, leaving some occupants trapped in the wreckage.
The injured were rescued by passersby and rushed to the Juaboso Government Hospital for medical treatment, while the deceased were pronounced dead on arrival.
Police from the Juaboso District Command later visited the scene to manage traffic and have since launched investigations to determine the cause of the accident.
