Tima Kumkum celebrates roots with outreach in Cape Coast ahead of 38th birthday

Media personality Cynthia Tima Yeboah, professionally known as Tima Kumkum, has once again shown that birthdays are not just about receiving gifts but about giving hope.

Ahead of her 38th birthday on September 17, she, under her Tima Kumkum Foundation, returned to her roots in Cape Coast to celebrate in a way that touched lives and left smiles across the community.

Her celebration, dubbed ‘My Honey of Capables Courtesy Call’, began on a symbolic note with a visit to the Oguaa Traditional Area. There, she paid a royal call on Osabarima Kwesi Atta II, Omanhene of the Oguaa Traditional Council, to seek blessings before setting out on her mission of compassion.

Tima and her team then made their way to the Aboom Special School, where she donated essential items and shared memorable moments with the children.

From the classrooms of Aboom, the celebration extended to the busy Kotokuraba Market, where traders and residents benefited from a free health screening exercise in partnership with Geobert Memorial Herbal Centre.

The screenings, which checked for blood pressure, sugar levels, and general health concerns, brought much relief to beneficiaries.

The success of the initiative was powered by several corporate supporters who rallied behind Tima’s cause.

Promasidor Ghana, producers of Cowbell, Yumvita, and Onga, contributed product donations. Bel Beverages supplied cartons of Bel Aqua mineral water and assorted drinks, Slimnfit offered financial support, Jeli’s dolls for clothes, while KFC Ghana treated the children at Aboom Special School and the market women to delicious meals.

Speaking after the event, a grateful Tima Kumkum shared her motivation:

“This is my small way of giving back to the society that raised me. Birthdays, to me, are not just about personal celebrations but about lifting others. To every partner and brand that supported me, I say thank you from the bottom of my heart.”

As she turns 38, she continues to remind Ghanaians that the greatest gift of all is the joy of giving.
