Billionaire’s daughter Temi Otedola and singer Mr Eazi have opened up about the intense disagreements and emotional back-and-forth they experienced before finally settling on the locations for their destination weddings.
The couple revealed that planning three weddings in three different countries within a span of three months was overwhelming and far from the glamorous experience many might imagine.
“Three weddings in three months is insane,” they admitted, describing the process as exhausting, with one ceremony flowing into another in quick succession.
Temi disclosed that their original plan was to have a simple and quiet court wedding in Nigeria, but concerns about privacy quickly ruled out that option.
“If we went to the courthouse in Nigeria, it wouldn’t be as private as we wanted,” she explained.
Another idea was to invite court officials into their living room for a private civil ceremony. While Temi liked the concept, Mr Eazi was uncomfortable with it, leading to disagreements that forced the couple to rethink their plans.
Eventually, they settled on Monaco for their civil wedding, a decision Temi described as deeply sentimental. She added that although the United Kingdom was considered at some point, it did not feel personal enough.
Mr Eazi also shared his surprise at the administrative demands of marriage.
“I thought getting married was just deciding and signing papers. I didn’t know there was a mountain of administration,” he said.
Despite the challenges, the couple say they are now preparing for their final and grand wedding ceremony.
