Three people have been confirmed dead on the spot, while three others are fighting for their lives following an accident at Juaso in the Asante Akyem South Municipality on Monday morning.
The tragic incident occurred when a vehicle travelling from Kumasi to Koforidua collided with a tipper truck.
According to a passenger, Maame Sophia, who spoke to Adom News’ Isaac Amoako, the suspect driver was repeatedly making phone calls while driving.
She revealed that the driver was initially communicating with a woman he was supposed to pick up along the way after she had bought a ticket.
“Even after picking up the passenger, he continued making calls, and when he attempted to remove the phone from his pocket, he crashed into the tipper truck,” she narrated.
