The Bono East Regional Police Command has arrested three suspects in connection with the killing of the Queenmother of Abamba, Nana Serwaa Asaamaa Kuma Gyan, near Amantin in the Atebubu area.
In a press release, the Command said the suspects were arrested following an intelligence-led operation.
They have been identified as Rafiu Haruna, Mufawu Adamu and Michael Owusu Spermi, and are currently in police custody assisting with ongoing investigations.
The queen mother was reportedly shot at her residence around the Methodist Church area in Atebubu on February 25, 2026.
The statement added that efforts are underway to identify and arrest other persons who may have been involved in the crime.
The Police further assured that investigations remain active as the Command works to ensure that all individuals connected to the killing are brought to justice.
