The constitutional amendment proposals before NPP delegates [Read]

The New Patriotic Party (NPP) has convened its highly anticipated National Delegates Conference today at the University of Ghana Stadium, Legon.

The event is expected to draw nearly 6,000 delegates nationwide.

Under the theme “Rebuilding Together with our Values,” the conference marks a pivotal moment for the party as it reflects on its loss in the 2024 general elections and charts a path toward renewal and reform.

A major focus of the conference is the consideration of numerous proposed amendments to the party’s constitution.

These proposals aim to enhance internal governance, strengthen grassroots structures, and better position the party for the 2028 elections.

Chairman of the Planning Committee, Joseph Osei Owusu, earlier disclosed that delegates will vote on more than 50 motions compiled from over 300 amendment proposals submitted nationwide.

The former Bekwai MP also noted that the motions were compiled into a detailed booklet and distributed to delegates through the office of the General Secretary. Voting is scheduled to conclude by 4:00 PM.
