Grief hangs heavily over the forecourt of the State House, where family, friends and sympathisers have gathered to bid a solemn farewell to Captain Frank Amoaning Donkor and Elijah Ofori Donkor, who lost their lives in an aircraft crash in Tema.

The two brothers were sons of Elder Frank Donkor, founder of the Hebron Prayer Camp.

Dressed in black and red, mourners filled the ceremonial grounds, their faces marked by sorrow as tributes poured in for the young men. The atmosphere was subdued, punctuated by hymns, quiet prayers and moments of reflection.

Adom News’ Price Owusu Asiedu, who was at the funeral, reported that dignitaries, including government officials, church members, and community leaders have turned out to pay their respects to the deceased.

The brothers lost their lives after an aircraft they were flying from Ho to Accra crashed on Monday, March 16, 2026.

The light aircraft, with registration number 9G-ADV, crashed within the premises of the TMA Day Care Centre before catching fire.

Both occupants sustained severe burns and died as a result of the incident.
