Residents of Kuntunso, Tadieso and Bomiri in the Techiman South Constituency are set to benefit from improved access to primary healthcare following the handover of a refurbished and fully equipped Community-based Health Planning and Services (CHPS) compound.
The facility, secured through the intervention of the Member of Parliament for Techiman South, Martin Adjei Mensah Korsah, will serve the three communities collectively known as KUTABOM, which have long struggled with limited access to basic healthcare due to inadequate infrastructure.

Speaking at a brief handover ceremony at Kuntunso, Mr Korsah said improving healthcare delivery remains one of his top priorities, especially in underserved communities within the constituency.
He acknowledged that several other communities continue to face similar challenges and assured residents of his commitment to mobilising resources to further expand healthcare access.

Mr Korsah stressed that strengthening healthcare infrastructure is essential to ensuring timely medical care and improving overall health outcomes.
The Techiman Municipal Health Director, Dr Fosu Kusi, welcomed the intervention, describing poor and outdated health infrastructure as a major constraint to quality healthcare delivery in the municipality.
He noted that the new CHPS compound would significantly reduce the burden on residents who previously had to travel long distances to access primary healthcare services.
Dr Kusi expressed optimism that the facility would enhance preventive care, promote early diagnosis and treatment, and ultimately improve the health and well-being of residents in the beneficiary communities.
The project forms part of broader efforts to strengthen primary healthcare delivery and expand access to essential health services across the Techiman South Constituency.
